Mission Statement:

We are a people called by GOD
To release the love and compassion
Of Christ in abundance.
Go make a difference in
YOUR community and OUR world.

History:

The Living Word Community Church was birthed from the vision of Bishop Canute Blake in the summer of 2000 at the Regal Constellation Hotel. Soon after the Rev. Colin Esseboom was appointed as the new Lead pastor.

The congregation began to grow rapidly and the church was encouraged to seek the Lord for a more permanent location and relocated to 220 Rutherford Road South.

Rev. Colin Esseboom was succeeded by Rev. Arnold Ainsley in January 2004. Rev. Arnold Ainsley’s appointment signalled the dawn of a new day in the life of the church and a new chapter in the Living Word journey began. Under his leadership Living Word saw many advances and blessings from God. He moved the congregation in 2009 to 170 Wilkinson Road Unit 16 to further expand its ministry.

Living Word continued to grow. In April 2011 Rev. Marjorie R. Brown joined the congregation as the assistant pastor. Under this dual leadership Living Word Community Church embarked on a new journey of growth and maturation.

In the fall of 2013 Rev. Marjorie R. Brown was installed as the senior pastor. The Lord is still blessing Living Word as we expand in leaps and bounds. Our future is bright and the sky is the limit as we continue to “Dream Big.”

Living Word Community Church is affiliated with the Church of God, Cleveland, Tennessee, USA (www.churchofgod.org) and supervised by the regional office of the church of God in Eastern Canada.
